Love and Their Lovers

If you see or experience a lack of unity with another person or in the world, just know that this only exists in your mind. The world is whole, completely whole without measure. Any lack of integration or sense that things "don't fit together" is only a creation and separation within your own mind. Seek out what causes this separation and let it go, and a compassion that embraces both as one with be the result.

During the formative phase (the early stage) of our life we learn from errors together. At that time we form pure bonding- many of which last for many years or maybe even till the end of life. These relations strengthen with the passage of time. These become unbreakable with the passage of time. We have the right to feel angry- if our friend does something wrong. However, it is our duty to give advice and help him or her when he or she goes through low phases in life. We need to be the pillars of strengths of our friends.

“What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies.” -- Aristotle

“Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and be my friend.” -- Albert Camus

“To know someone here or there
with whom you can feel
there is understanding
in spite of distances or
thoughts expressed
That can make life a garden.” -- Goethe

Meditation is not just a practice of about getting insight into life. These insights are useless if the self just attaches to them and turns them into another object to create desire and aversion in the world. You must allow the insight to become you so completely that it is an embodiment of life itself and not a single remnant of self is left to call the insight "insight". In this way, meditation becomes your life.

“Those friends thou hast, and their adoption tried,
Grapple them to thy soul with hoops of steel;
But do not dull thy palm with entertainment
Of each new-hatch'd, unfledg'd comrade.” -- William Shakespeare

The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship.” -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Love and Friendship by Emily Bronte

"Love is like the wild rose-briar,
Friendship like the holly-tree --
The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms
But which will bloom most constantly?
The wild-rose briar is sweet in the spring,
Its summer blossoms scent the air;
Yet wait till winter comes again
And who wil call the wild-briar fair?

"Friendship" is something which is hard to describe. The word "friend" too can mean different things to different people. But the main thing which is known to all is that a friend is someone who will offer a shoulder to cry on, encourage and guide as and when required. What are the adjectives generally used for a friend? Terms used are close friend, best friend, childhood friend, intimate friend, trusted friend, and beloved friend. There are many beautiful friendship poems which celebrate the wonderful bond between friends.

My Best Friend
Today I found a friend,
Who knew everything I felt.
She knew my every weakness,
And the problems I've been dealt.
She understood my wonders,
And listened to my dreams.
She listened to how I felt about life and love,
And knew what it all means.

Not once did she interrupt me,
Or tell me I was wrong.
She understood what I was going through,
And promised she'd stay long

I reached out to this friend
To show her that i care
To pull her close and let her know
How much I need her there

I went to hold her hand
To pull her a bit nearer
And realized that this perfect friend I found
Was nothing but my mirror.

There are many best friendship poems. Some excerpts from another best friendship poem,

The best of friends,
Can change a frown,
Into a smile,
when you feel down.

The best of friends,
Will understand,
Your little trials,
And lend a hand.

The best of friends,
Will always share,
Your secret dreams,
Because they care.

The best of friends,
Worth more than gold,
Give all the love,
A heart can hold.

  • May the Light of lights come to my dark heart;
  • May the Spirit's wisdom come to me from my Saviour.
  • May the peace of the Spirit be mine this night,
  • The peace of the Son be mine this night,
  • The peace of the Father be mine this night,
  • The peace of all peace be mine this night,
  • Each morning and evening of my life.
